Instagram Spot In Chiang Rai

Hello everyone! Yanti's travel blog is back

Chiang Rai is located in northern Thailand, you can reach it by bus from Chiang Mai around 2-3 hours or by plane directly from Bangkok. This city is filled with beautiful mountain scenery and beautiful culture.

Here are some of the places worth visiting and amazing Instagramable spots that you can find in Chiang Rai

1. Black House (Baan Daam)

Baan Dam is located on 414 Baandam Nanglae Moo 13 Tumbol Nanglae, Mueang, Chiang Rai, 57100 Thailand. Baan Dam is also accessible by wheelchairs. Baan Dam is open daily from 9 a.m to 5 p.m, ticket counters close for lunch between 12 noon and 1 p.m. Entrance fee is 80 Baht per person. There are plenty of parking lots opposite the front door where you will also find souvenir shops, food stalls, and coffee shops.

You can also read my previous blog about Baan Daam here

2. Singha Park

Singha Park is located on 99 Mae Kon, Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai 57000, Thailand. You can find the details about singha park in my blog here

3. Golden Triangle

From this viewpoint, you can see and admire the view and see the rivers converging to form the border of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.

4. White Temple (Wat Rong Khun)

This one is part of the famous temple in Thailand. The temple is pure of white architecture. The contemporary murals inside are not what you might expect and there are plenty of thought-provoking scenes both inside and outsides the temple. This includes lots of subtle and not-so-subtle references to life, death, and human suffering. This temple is located just off Highway 1 (Phahonyothin road) about 15 km South West of Chiang Rai town.

5. Blue Temple (Wat Rong Seua Ten)

I do not have a chance to visit Blue Temple, but this place is worth visiting. This one is another colorful attraction, but there are resident monks here and this is most like a traditional Thai temple (wat).

6. Chiang Rai Night Bazaar and Clock Tower

This one is a good place to chill and enjoy the Thai night bazaar. We do not only visit this place for buying some souvenirs but there are a lot of attractions to see here, such as a good place for finding Thai food and enjoying your night here with Thai culture where every Saturday and Sunday there will be traditional music on the stage. The clock tower is also near the night bazaar where you can stop by and take some pictures of the beautiful color changes on the clock tower. You can read about the night bazaar in my previous blog here

7. Chiang Rai Budha Caves and Chiang Rai Beach

This two are located a little bit far but they are crossing each other where you can see the beach from the caves and vice versa. These two tourist attraction is worth visiting if you want to try an adventurous activity in Thailand. This does not look like a beach but this is a Mekong river that has brown sand. The river is having a strong flow and you have to be careful to swing here. They have a place to chill also near the beach and last but not least, the cave is amazing and with to try for the one who loves adventure experience. You can read about this place in my previous story here

8. Wat Huay Pla Kang

This is another famous temple that is worth to visit where there is a huge statue of Kuan Im (the Goddess of Mercy) that stands 80 meters high. Visitors can climb the stairs inside the statue to enjoy the views. I share my story about this temple and also I tried a nice coffee shop nearby this temple see my post
