Teaching for the first time in Thailand (Day 12)
Today was not good at all. But today I should teach
for the first time. Teacher Pram told me I should go to 531 room to
teach. Then there i met teacher Nuka, teacher Nuka gave me chance to
prepare my stuff for teached.
Today i
would teach about Volume of Cuboids for my first student . They were
around 20 students or more in class. They are students from Chinese
Program and they were so cute and beautiful.
First
time, i felt so nervous. But then I enjoyed to teach there. Started
from Do Now which was i asked them some question about Cuboids such as
Lenght, High, Width, then i told them about purpose of our lesson.
After that, the Work Mode Session. It was the hard things to made them understand because they could not understand english. But i tried to made them understand with picture, body language, and slowly speak to speak with them until ther were understand. So, after that, i gave them the worksheet. They did it with themself, then I also walked around to saw what they did and i they also alsked me what thet did not understand, i also asked some of them they are finished they work or not, and gave them a "little clue" to made them finished well.

I
come to them and i asked them , finish? Can you do it ? Like that.
After all finished, I gave them a chance to present their answer in
front of class and tell their friends about it. For the first, they was
shy. But then, i tried to made them active such as i told them "i will
give you this souvenir from my city if you can answer and tell your
friend about your answer in front of class" Then one by one raised their
hand and want to answer the question. They are really excited after
that even though the first they was afraid to stand and present their
answer in front of class.
After
the work mode activity had done. Now reflective thinking, they raised
their hand and who wanted to answer they also should present about the
answer in front of class.
After that i just 3waited for ida and eka were finished. After they were finished we were walked to found food.
In
the afternoon when the school just finished, we were go back to our
dorm. But that was rain then we were got wet. After that, i felt so
bad... I think i need to take a rest for a while. Then i just slept :'(
